Milestones
2014 - Echo (1st Generation)
The first Amazon Echo device was created. It consisted of a 9.25 inch tall cylinder speaker with a 7-piece microphone array. It had no internal battery.
Formerly known as Kiva Systems LLC, Amazon Robotics LLC started using Kiva Robots to help make warehouse work less tedious and physically taxing.

2017 - Echo (2nd Generation)
Amazon Echo created a couple other devices before coming out with what they call the 2nd generation Echo. It's 2/3 the size of the 1st generation Echo. Along with a fabric skin instead of a hard exterior.
2018 - Amazon Go
Although it may have been founded on December 5, 2016, Amazon officially opened their first grocery store on January 22nd, 2018. The store is located in Seattle, Washington. It is the first grocery store to have no cashiers or a check-out station. Using the Amazon Go app, you can walk in, grab and go thanks to the different ways of tracking that Amazon instilled into their store.
Future
It was early 2018, when the announcement of a partnership between Amazon, Berkshire Hathaway and JPMorgan Chase to "cut health-care costs and improve services for their U.S. employees." according to CNBC. In hopes that with the help of each other, they'll find a way to solve the issue.
